Grants to OthersSentinel Landscape Connectivity- Masters students at the Bren School, UCSB, will perform an analysis of wildlife connectivity issues around the Vandenberg Space Force Base. Grant of $4000 made to LegacyWorks Group.Snowy Plover Monitoring-Monitoring of populations of the endangered Snowy Plover along regions of the Gaviota Coast. Grant of $48,500 to the Hollister Ranch Owners Association (HROA).Human Activity Study- Measuring human activity on 8 miles of shoreline to assess the impact of human presence on wildlife. Grant of $12,000 to HROABeach Camera Trapping- Using wildlife cameras to document wildlife presence and activity along 8 miles of shoreline. Grant of $65,000 to HROATide Pool School- The HR Tide Pool School offers elementary school kids a chance to experience the pristine tide pools of Gaviota, using UCSB Marine Science student docents as interpreters. Grant of $78,492 to HROA helps pay for docents, transportation, and management of the school.
