They participate in other local acricultural civic & community organizations. Leaders attend district state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications and agriculture activities.

Youth leadership/education activities the cocke county farm bureau does several things in the county to create awareness to the youth about agriculture. The cocke county farm bureau hosts a farm day where elementary school children get to visit a working farm and see an actual farm operation and where their food and fiber comes from and the work that goes in to producing their food and fiber. This is an eyeopening experience for lots of children because they are several generations removed from the farm and this also shows them how important agriculture is to their lives. The cocke county farm bureau also donates to cocke county ffa and 4-h organizations.
