Coldwater Of Lees Summit

In 2024, our no hungry kids programs provided 7,859 food packs to students in the lees summit r7 school district. We worked closely with school counselors in 17 schools to determine how many students lacked adequate resources at home and needed food at homes during the weekend. We provided 10,800 summer lunches and 2,073 bbq meals in two low income neighborhoods. Food packs cost was $42,789 of the total expenses above. This program is supported by $5,ooo in grants and proceeds from our drive out hunger golf tournament fundraiser.

In 2024, we distributed 19,357 pounds of food during 4,700 visits to our food pantry. Our pantry offerings are comprised of items from harvesters, both purchased and given, donations from the community, purchased items and food from our grocery recovery program. We received $309,010 in donated food items. Our fundraiser crank out hunger bike ride funds this program.

Other programs include: friends day lunches, school supplies, t-ball league, and a clothes closet.
