Advocacy - The chapter advocates on issues related to children's health and well-being, as well as, pediatric practice issues.

Expenses: $33K

Cable Lock Project - A pilot project where free cable locks for firearms are provided, along with materials to pediatric practices to make available for the patients and families whom they serve.

Meetings - The Chapter holds an annual meeting featuring speakers presenting on relevant topics as defined by membership. Additional meetings include an intern welcome and annual members social gathering.

Facilitation - The Chapter provides facilitation for virtual learning sessions aimed at pediactricians and pediatric professionals and offered in partnership with ECHO Colorado and COPPCAP. The facilitation role supports numerous series focused on pediatric mental health that are held thoughout the year.

Youth Mental Health Day - A collaboration that brings professionals to the state capitol to learn about advocacy and provides an opportunity for them to meet with their elected officials.

Resident Scholarships - Through a generous grant, AAP Colorado established the Barbara R. Reed Scholarship fund. Through this program, AAP Colorado members and residents are able to apply for funds to support their participation in trainings focused on pediatric education and child health advocacy.
