Colorado Coroners

The 2024 Coroners Training was held October 9-11, 2024, at the Chamonix Casino Hotel in Cripple Creek, Colorado. There were 99 in-person attendees and 18 online attendees. Topics included Wilderness Deaths, Asphyxia Hanging Deaths, Ketamine and Fentanyl Deaths, Scene Studies, Child Death Investigation, Fire-Related Deaths, Vehicle-Related Deaths, Summit County Deaths, Back Country Scenes, Postmortem Changes, Documentation, Decedent Identification, Infant Homicide, Recovery of Remains, Suicide Deaths in Ski Resorts, Transient/Homeless Deaths, and Ballistics. Three scholarships were awarded for full conference costs and the cost of rooms.
