Pilot and implement new courses, modified learning models based on lessons learned, and build new learning models to support teacher shortages. Limited new structures and courses were developed this fiscal year due to the need to assess performance during the large increase in student enrollments last year due to COVID. New structures or courses developed included: (1) Credit recovery courses; (2) New Career and Technical courses and pathways; (3) New Advanced Placement and Concurrent courses; and (4) New support models which allow school district to have their own 'online program' built on CDLS infrastructure.

(Only for this fiscal year). CDLS supported the national conference for Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance (VLLA). CDLS managed the logistics at the conference hotel and collected registrations. CDLS paid all bills related to the hotel. This is the only fiscal year CDLS will be involved with this type of program service area which supports our mission of online learning and teaching. (Note: CDLS absorbed losses for this conference.)
