0Colorado Nepal Alliance (CNA) continued to assist the family of two women of Nepali descent who were murdered in 2023; the murder trial was held in 2024. A CNA representative attended the trial and gave the family updates, and encouraged the family to give a victim's statement remotely at the sentencing. CNA was also contacted regarding a Nepali worker in Colorado who was unhappy with his employment. CNA contacted the Colorado Department of Labor to determine how the individual should have been paid, and found alternative employment for the gentleman (which he refused). Although many hours were spent on these activities, since CNA is an all-volunteer organization, no expenses were incurred with these activities, with the exception of providing funds for the victims' family to apply for visas to come visit the gravesites of the victims.
