Programs

1 program

Rent a neuroscientist: to respond to the pab request for help with strategic research plans, combinedbrain hires post-doctoral fellows, and student interns. These teams staff the rent-a-brain program, which assists with the roadshow, but primarily serves as part-time scientific officers for member pags. When requested, these teams review the landscape of drug development for a given disorder in an objective and economical way, resulting in a series of recommendations for moving as fast as possible from diagnosis to an fda-approved drug. The rent-a-brain teams also assist pags with grant applications, grant reviews, literature summaries, disease concept studies, and manuscript preparation. Renta-brain activities vary widely, as demanded by the pags and advisory boards. For example, one team has prepared scientific rationale for adding member disorders to diagnostic microarrays, another has prepared applications for icd-10 codes, and another has drafted a survey of toileting abilities to be piloted across neurodevelopmental disorders, amongst many other projects.
