The mission of Comfort Food Community is to provide nutritious food to our neighbors in need and to lead the community to end rural hunger.

Other prgorams include ongoing outreach and education that provides educational programs for children and adults to encourage healthy food use, reinforce its nutritional benefits, and build skills around food preparation and waste reduction. The backpack program demonstrates CFC's collaborative efforts by aiding Greenwich School District students with weekend meals, guaranteeing they receive the necessary nutrition to thrive.
The CFC Food Recovery Program seeks to redirect surplus food to low-income families through a community-based distribution network. From its base of operations in Greenwich, New York, the FRP recovers food from farms and retail locations within a 40-mile radius. Food recovery consists of four methods: active, on-farm gleaning, farm pick-ups, farm deliveries, and retail pick-ups.
Community Health provides educational programs for children and adults to encourage healthy use of food and to reinforce its nutritional benefits, and to build skills around food preparation and waste reduction. In addition Community Health works on primary prevention through food-based interventions and resource navigation to connect clients with vital services and promote healthier outcomes.
The Food & Farm Hub in Greenwich is a specialized 20,000 sq. ft. facility suitable for storage of fresh and non-perishable food products, food cleaning and processing, and serving as a distribution center for delivery of nutritious food to CFC's clients and to our partner and program sites in Saratoga, Warren, and Washington
