The foundation's mission is to create, enrich and expand educational opportunities for fauquier county public schools. They find equitable programs that enhance student learning experiences and citizenship. They create and fund programs that prepare and engage students with diverse populations, cultures, and technologies. They provide financial assistance to teachers and administrators enabling them to participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and cultural programs to further their professional development and impact their classrooms. They are dedicated to creating innovative programs and cultivating partnerships with local and regional corporations, foundations, and individual donors to better serve fauquier county public schools.

Professional development grants: for more than 40 years the foundation has provided financial assistance to dedicated fauquier county public school teachers, educators, and administrators to participate in professional development opportunities that directly impact classroom teaching or enhance a school's overall learning environment.

My first book club: this program supports at-risk preschool students by improving literacy skills, promoting peer interaction, and fostering a love of reading. The foundation provides students with a new book each month for classroom and home reading, along with a small bookshelf to build their first personal library. Contributions that the foundation made to fauquier county public schools: amounts were used to reduce school lunch debt, dolly parton's imagination library, chromebooks purchases for hm pearson elementary school, culinary departments at fauquier county high schools, and a newline display machine purchase at liberty high school.
