Community Action Of Eastern Iowa

Low income home energy assistance - provides assistance to qualifying low-income households in paying their utility costs. During the fiscal year ending october 31, 2024, 13,748 households/individuals received assistance.

Weatherization - provides resources including insulation, minor structural repair, testing and other items for weatherizing homes of qualifying low income households. During the year ended october 31, 2024, 96 homes were weatherized.

Child and adult care food programs - provides assistance to meet food and nutritional needs of qualifying low-income participants. During the year ended october 31, 2024, the organization provided assistance to 9 centers.

Child care resource and referral - provided child-care related assistance to qualifying low-income participants. The organization assisted families that did not qualify for head start or wanted to explore other options in finding qualified child care providers either in centers or with home child care providers.

Community services block grant - provides support for outreach, general administrative and other expenses in carrying out program activities not funded by specific awards.

Family development and self-sufficiency program (fadss) - provides development and self-sufficiency services to familes in the state's family investment program who are determined to be at risk of long-term welfare dependency.

Other community action programs - providing various other forms of assistance to qualifying low-income individuals and families.
