Assist low-income individuals to become more self-sufficient by developing work and social skills.

Income resource development - provides various services to residents of dutchess county including the earned income tax credit program, dress for success, suited to succeed, and case management programs. Clients receive services to help them reach their goal of self-sufficiency. This may include free tax preparation and budgeting advice, employment retention, resume creation, and workforce readiness skills training, as well as assistance with workplace attire. Clients are assisted with utilizing, accessing, and increasing their resources to improve their lives.

These programs included: home energy assistance program (heap), local share, poor and elderly grants, heating assistance, emergency fuel accessibility, employment case management, and health insurance/food stamp enrollment. Beacon meals and transportation program helps seniors with meals and also transportation to shop at a local store.
