Low-income home energy assistance program (liheap) - assistes low-income households, particularly those with the lowest incomes that pay a high proportion of household income for home energy, primarily in meeting their immediate home energy needs.

Other program expenses

Community service block grant - csbg provides federal funds to designated local governments and non-profit agencies to assist eligible low-income households in attaining skills, knowledge and motivation necessary to achieve self sufficiency.

Child and adult care food care program - provides aid to child and adult care institutions and family or group day care homes for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, development of young children and the health and wellness of older adults and chronically impared disabled persons
