The Community Agency for Resources and Advocacy serves low-income youth and families in the community providing culturally competent and sensitive programming based on the needs and resources available in Santa Clara County.

2. ADVOCACY: CARAS excelled in equipping and developing youth advocacy initiatives focused on issues such as school suspensions expulsions and youth arrests. We empowered youth in the areas of social justice equity and racial justice.
3. COMMUNITY AND HOMELESS PREVENTION: CARAS homeless prevention efforts successfully supported 40 families in avoiding eviction by utilizing pass-through funding. We provided $120,000 in rental assistance and deposits to help these families stay in their homes and we provided advocacy and rental housing rights to an additional 432 clients with legal clinics multiple outreach events and other supportive services.
