Mission
Our mission is to address the lack of an accessible, affordable and coordinated support network for lost, unwanted, abandoned, and injured animals in the southern illinois region by providing, making available, and maintaining temporary shelter to those living in overcrowded governmentally supported or privately operated animal control shelters and animal rescue facilities.more specifically, st. Francis care (sfc)operates a facility, supported by volunteers and donations that provides animals with a shelter in which they can be housed, cared for, or rehabilitated until they can be adopted by a human who will ensure their health and well-being for the rest of their natural life. Sfc strives to improve the community as a whole by educating the public about the importance of humane animal control measures through spaying and neutering their pets. This endeavor will help prevent the undesired breeding of domestic animals and therefore avoid and/or minimize the need for euthanasia of so man
