Mission

The mission of Community Cancer Services is to ease the burden of those affected by cancer in our community.

Emotional Support Program: Provided emotional support for patients, families and caregivers through one-on-one counseling as well as two support groups held in the CCS office on a bi-weekly basis. Continued our relationship with a local not-for-profit organization that provides telehealth counseling and mental health services to our clients. Support was provided to approximately 20 clients.

Expenses: $17K

Physical Support Program: Provided physical support through weekly yoga classes held at the CCS office. Approximately 10 clients participated. Also provided a resource room with cancer related materials as well as free internet access. Provided assistance to clients in organizing medical bills, researching resources and setting up payment plans for their medical expenses. Provided assistance in finding psychological, emotional and financial counseling. Provided hats, wigs, scarves and mastectomy supplies.
