To provide food, clothing and support services from two locations in the San Diego region to the homeless, unemployed and other needy people.

In addition to gathering, organizing and distributing food and household items CCSA provides financial aid to assist with transportation, obtaining birth certificates, California identification cards. CCSA also provides layettes to low-income new mothers. Information and resource counseling is available along with limited case management and referrals to shelter and other agencies or sources of help. The costs for providing those services are included in reported program expenses.
Sack Lunch Distributions in Pacific Beach: 14,865 individuals were served with a comparable retail value of $7.50 per bag. Allocated costs are based on calculated estimates.
3648 Holiday food bags and baskets were distributed at the Clairemont and Pacific Beach sites.
CCSA received donations of school supplies. Back to school backpacks were created and distributed to 988 needy children.
572 Hygiene bags were donated via local markets and distributed by CCSA. Comparable retail value $8.99 each. Allocated costs based on estimates.
Laundry services provided to 425 clients estimated at $4.50 per load.
150 blankets were distributed. Comparable retail value $9.50 each. Costs are allocated based on estimates.
