The 100-Year Mural Program is a celebration for the 100 year anniversary of the Alamosa Chamberof Commerce. Ten murals will be created in theCity of Alamosa, each mural depicting one decade from the 1920s through the 2020s. Alamosa Chamber of Commerce is a 501-c-6, so the CFSLV served as the 501-c-3 Passthrough organization to accept charitable donations for the mural project.

Expenses: $67K

The CFSLV acted as a Fiscal Agent to acquire funds to establish the Sand Dunes Mushroom Cooperative. Eight Guatemalan (Mayan) families were given the opportunity to start their own cooperative to grow mushrooms after they lost their employment due to the closure of the Colorado Mushroom Farm in Alamosa. Funds were used to have community input convenings, provide specialized training in mushroom cultivation, education in establishing a Cooperative in the State of Colorado, stipend and salaries to the workers, and supplies to start a mushroom cultivation facility.
