Behavioral health: chp administers the suicide prevention collaborative of el paso county and provides administrative support to the teller county mental health alliance. These collaboratives are a partnership of multi-sector stakeholders that identify, promote, and implement comprehensive and community-based strategies for preventing suicide. Strategies include prioritizing overall community wellbeing, reducing stigma of mental illness, promoting safe storage of firearms, supporting economic stability measures, and reducing isolation and increasing connection.

Expenses: $635KGrants: $25K

Prism community collective: in the aftermath of the bias-motivated mass shooting at club q, an lgbtq+ night club, chp worked with the community to set up this community resource center dedicated to serving those impacted by the tragedy, including survivors, victims' families, and the broader lgbtq+ community. Prism provides a variety of mental and physical health care services, resource navigation, and a sober space for the community to connect and build relationships.
