The Corporation was organized under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1724 for the purpose of advancing, encouraging, and promoting the industrial, economic, commercial, and civic development of Fairlawn, Ohio and to facilitate the reclamation, rehabilitation, and re-utilization of real property in the City.

The Corporation remitted excess lease proceeds to the City that resulted from an on-going 10-year lease/purchase agreement with a local company to re-utilize vacant real property.
