The Safer Together initiative is about more than programs and policies, its about people. At its core, this work is designed to bring healing, trust, and hope to communities in Southeastern Virginia that have been deeply impacted by gun violence. The services offered are built to meet people where they are, whether in the hospital after a traumatic event, at a community health fair, or in their own neighborhood.
