College Grants: In the Community Development Department CWTPUSAs mission and objective is to provide educational college scholarships to give advancement opportunities for indigent students from poor communities who are qualified to pursue their college education. This is an integral part of the church planting programs work in the slums. In 2024 we provided college scholarships for 35 students. The scholarship is also an extension of the Alternative Learning System program we provide for out-of-school youth in the communities who have not completed their high school levels.
Disaster Relief and Training: The MIT and Leadership Development programs are a objective of CWTPUSAs work in 2024. They aim to mobilize and train potential missionaries to work for the poor. In 2024 CWTPUSA responded to two main disasters Monsoon Habagat and Typhoon Carina by providing relief food packs to more than 1,830 families from 29 slum communities. These efforts were coupled with the rapid deployment of funds to areas hit by natural disasters such as typhoons and volcanic eruptions. The Trained Missionaries are able to help in this endeavor.
