Health- we continue to expand our comprehensive approach to health and wellness. Our main financial need is the cost of our counselor and a special education assistant who supports students social-emotional needs and leads classes on mindfullness. These two staff also facilitate our wellness committee, which is a student led group that takes leadership for the health and well being of their peers, with particular attention to mental health issues. This group of volunteers puts students with their own health issues in the role of leaders who can take their challenges and use them to guide programming and supports to help all students.

Expenses: $64K

Special education: compass has a wrap around appoach to special education that supports students across all scholl programs, whether or not they have identified special needs. Compass is inclusive of a wide diversity of learners and has a personalized approach to education where every student can find success. In addition to direct special education supports, all aspects of the program are designed to proactively include all learners, be adaptable for different learning needs, and offer opportunities for students to exercise leadership to make modifications that contribute to their success in school.
