Mission
Complete playground inc. Is dedicated to supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (asd) and sensory processing disorder (spd) by providing therapeutic and recreational programs, fostering social integration, and raising awareness about autism. Our expanded mission for 2024 is to create the first and only network of playgrounds across the united states designed to unite neurodivergent and neurotypical children through inclusive, sensory-friendly environments. We aim to promote understanding, acceptance, and meaningful interaction by building spaces and programs that embrace neurodiversity and support all children in reaching their full potential.

In 2024, completeplayground hosted over 260 school visits from all five nyc boroughs, including 21 schools weekly serving 1,150 students per month. Title 1 and low-income schools received discounts of up to 65% off admission, with 7 schools receiving additional support. We served 500+ families weekly, with 20% returning regularly, and held sensory-adapted holiday events to foster inclusive participation. Our programs were supported by a team of dedicated volunteers, including 23 neurodivergent individuals weekly, who participated in structured, skill-building roles.
In 2024, completeplayground hosted the completeplayground conference in partnership with yale, nyu, cuny, and hunter college. The event focused on neurodiversity in public spaces and welcomed over 1,000 educators, clinicians, and advocates. Attendees shared research, policy ideas, and best practices for creating more inclusive schools, recreational settings, and community environments. The conference also fostered collaboration across disciplines to support innovation in inclusive design and therapeutic programming.
Complete playground, a 40,000 square foot indoor play space located in the former new york sports club on broad street, just south of wall, has made a significant contribution to the community. This innovative facility spans three floors and includes a variety of amenities such as a giant climbing apparatus, pretend play areas, and even a barbershop. In alignment with our mission to support inclusivity, complete playground is intentionally designed to accommodate children with neurodivergence. The facility features interactive, sensory-friendly play zones, with designated spaces where children can unwind, ensuring a supportive environment for all. This achievement exemplifies our ongoing commitment to fostering accessible, inclusive, and engaging spaces for children in the community.
