Community Resource Assistance - Thanks to one of Comunidads locally-rooted community leaders, a decision was made to partner with the Capital Area Food Bank to provide a monthly food distribution in Seven Corners which is a neighborhood in Falls Church. Since September of 2020, this food distribution puts food on the tables of an average of 230 families and individuals per month.

Champions Mentoring program provides teen boys and girls with leadership and skill building opportunities. The Champions mentoring program supported 20 teens on a monthly basis. This program provides STEM engagement, social emotional learning, a dialogue, and a movement activity.

Strong Readers Strong Leaders (SRSL) seeks to build both literacy and leadership skills in the smallest of our leaders. This diagnostic prescriptive reading program provides elementary age children with tools to strengthen their reading and comprehension skills. SRSL also supports some children with a specialized reading curriculum, for a total of 26 students supported in literacy. The SRSL program requires a pre-and-post literacy test to gauge each student's improvement.

Community Engagement provides a platform for members of the community to share their concerns and dreams for their neighborhood. It also provides an opportunity for community members to lead local initiatives which address their concerns. This engagement has led to the strengthening of the community as well as their capacity to work together for the good of the community. This year a monthly dinner was provided for over 40 families, which allows for families to build relationships over a meal and share their concerns and hopes for the community.

Rising Leaders is a leadership activation program for middle and high school students. It provides youth with opportunities to lead local initiatives which directly impact their community. The young leaders in this program are given the tools and a platform to respond to community needs of their choosing. This year programming consisted of a soccer clinic with 33 students, a coding bootcamp with 17 participants, and the support of three students interning over the summer, known as Rising Scholars
