The Department of Energy (DOE) cooperative agreement, Source Collection and Threat Reduction (SCATR) - The projects under the agreements will identify, register, and arrange disposition of discrete radiation sources having individually small radioactivity and improve overall radiological incident preparedness in the United States through cooperative efforts of state and federal radiation protection and response agencies.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cooperative agreement - The broad goal of this project is to reduce the risk of illness and death in the United States caused by unnecessary radiation exposure or caused by less than optimum quality radiographic procedures by providing for coordination state and federal activities to achieve effective solutions to present and future radiation control challenges.

The nuclear regulatory commission (nrc) cooperative agreement provides for disposition of orphan and abandoned radioactive material.

THE CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION (CDC) COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT IS To provide a consistent and scientifically sound approach for radiation protection in the United States through development, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of practice-and evidence-based strategies and tools.

Industrial radiography certification - industrial radiography is theprocess of performing nondestructive testing of materials usingradiation from a radioactive materials source or a radiation-producingmachine.

The department of energy cooperative agreement provides for the source collection and threat reduction program. This program identifies, arranges, and pays for the disposition of discrete radioactive material.

AAPM-maintained and updated a registry of qualified medical physicists

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) cooperative agreement - The goal of this project is to assist state and local radiation control programs in protecting their respective citizens from exposure to elevated radon in residential homes, other buildings, and drinking water.

Fema cooperative agreement-contract for emergency response activities.

Annual meeting - disseminated information on radiation control andrelated matters for members and other radiation professionals.

Publications - compiled and published a directory of nationwide contacts who are instrumental in maintaining radiation safety. Published and distributed other informational documents relating to radiation safety and control.

Membership - the organization is a non-profit, non-governmental professional organization dedicated to radiation protection. The organization's membership is comprised of radiation professionals in state and local government that regulate the use of radiation sources. The members help provide technical information to working groups to accomplish the organization's mission.

Exhibits - outreach activities used to promote thr programs of the organization and encourage participation in program activities.

Training - various radiological oriented training classes are offered for members and other participants.

NNSA-Coordinated with NNSA in efforts to prepare for and respond to radiological and terrorist acts, and arranged and provided partial funding for disposition of unwanted radioactive sources.
