To grow the climate justice and energy equity movement across minnesota

Programs

Policy & advocacy: engaged over 150 people in meetings with federal and state legislators. Mobilized 200 community leaders and a broader base of over 8,000 people across minnesota to engage with public decision makers around a climate justice agenda. Organized and co-hosted the rise & repair rally day with more than 250 attendees, many of whom had meetings with their legislators. Held regular core team meetings and leadership development opportunities.

Rise + repair: engaged over 500 community members and 20 organizations in grassroots advocacy and policy making. Held 75 non-partisan constituent meetings about climate issues. Contributed to significant legislative movement towards climate solutions. Supported indigenous leadership, storytelling, and policy development.

Decarbonization: engaged over 300 individuals and over 50 community organizations in conversations about a transition to solar energy. Provided technical assistance and community support for over a dozen solar transition projects for community and faith organizations, including projects in low-income housing. Provided technical assistance and community support for 35 families seeking decarbonization projects. Hosted multiple public education events and trainings. Ran heat pump helpran a heat pump helper pilot program.

Resilience hubs: launched statewide cohort with monthly learning sessions, meeting, and strategy sessions. Secured participation of core community partners and launched pilot program for future growth.

Youth n power: hosted 9 college interns and 6 apprentices to open the door to a new generation of climate leaders. Participated in multiple international coalitions and strategic alignments locally and globally. Young people participated in rallies and met with legislative leaders. Supported youth to lead the international organizing effort to pressure the united states to take action towards recognition and responsibility of the economic loss and damage caused by climate change.
