Entrepreneurship - chctdc supports entrepreneurship by serving as a payor for micro-grants, hosting grant-readiness workshops, and partnering with district agencies to advocate for the needs of small businessesincluding access to capital, build-out support, and other essential resources. We also manage a retail mall incubator that houses eight retail stores, four restaurants, and one boutique gym, helping business owners operate their first brick-and-mortar location while providing ongoing technical assistance to ensure long-term success. In addition, we operate three cohorts per year designed to support women-owned businesses as they move from ideation to business development and ultimately into incubation. Through these cohorts, participants receive targeted resources, coaching, and funding opportunities to help them scale effectively.

Human capital - through our human capital division, we serve approximately 120 participants each year, guiding them through a three-phase workforce development and job training program. We specialize in training for armed and unarmed security, building maintenance, and customer service. Each participant earns a nationally recognized credential and receives job placement support, resulting in an 85% placement rate and a 90% program retention rate. Our goal is to equip district residents with the skills, credentials, and opportunities needed to access pathways to the middle class and secure wages above the minimum. Across this division, we focus on job creation, job placement, credential attainment, and comprehensive work readiness.
