We are classified as a public charity under IRC Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). The purposes for which Congress of Bosniaks of North America is formed is to: (a) promote civic, educational, social and cultural programs designed to further the knowledge of Bosniak and Bosnian history, language and culture across North America; (b) engage members and communities of Bosniaks residing in the United States and Canada to actively participate in their local communities to educate and inform the broader public with respect to public policy issues that are of importance to Bosniaks; and (c) enrich active citizenship of Bosniaks in North America through community empowerment, preservation of heritage, remembrance, and leadership.
