Connecteach

Connecteach is a non-profit volunteer service organization that provides professional development for teachers in impoverished communities around the world. While basic literacy skills for all children are crucial, their teachers must have the tools to create a stimulating learning environment---even in the most desperately inadequate schools. To achieve this, connecteach provides training in effective teaching practices so that teachers can create a learning environment that taps into a child's innate curiosity and passion for discovery. Connecteach builds relationships with schools in poor communities to identify their needs for professional development. We then invite highly qualified educators to work with us to develop the appropriate curriculum modules and to lead workshops on effective teaching practices in these underserved areas.
