Mission
The Connected Foundation works promote psychological growth and development. We do this through three primary programs. 1.Connected Psychology is our flagship program and the cornerstone of our Foundation. We research, develop and provide developmentally based psychological services and programs to the most in need kids and families. 2. We provide care for our caregivers. We research, develop, and provide mindfulness and resilience training programs and retreats for mental health practitioners. 3. We extend our programs beyond psychology and into practical skills for living in an increasingly digital world. We seek to close the digital divide by teaching individuals and families how to build, protect, and grow their digital and financial futures. We help participants claim and control their online identities, gain practical technical skills, and strengthen their long-term financial resilience. We research, develop, and provide financial and technical literacy training and programming.

The Connected Foundation empowers individuals and communities by delivering innovative technical and financial literacy programs centered on the Handshake Protocol. Our mission is to demystify emerging technologies, expand access to decentralized digital infrastructure, and equip learners with the skills needed to navigate and build within the evolving internet economy. By uniting education, open-source technology, and community-driven empowerment, we strive to create a more inclusive, secure, and equitable digital future for all. The Connected Foundation expanded its technical and financial literacy programming by "re-instituting" the Handshake Institute, a US based program focused helping participants develop their technically skills and training in financial literacy.
The Connected Foundation is committed to advancing the skills, well-being, and professional capacity of psychologists and mental-health practitioners through specialized mindfulness and resilience training. Our mission is to provide evidence-based, practitioner-focused programs that strengthen clinical practice, deepen self-awareness, and support sustainable professional resilience. By integrating cutting-edge research with experiential learning and a supportive community of experts, we empower mental-health professionals to better care for themselves, enhance therapeutic outcomes, and lead transformative change within the communities they serve. The Connected Foundation held 4 mindfulness and resilience retreats in 2024, both in the US at our main location, and in Ecuador in our center in Gonzanama. We drastically improved the Ecuador retreat center's accessibility by fixing the roads for the local community and providing electric power to the surround homes. Development continued on our Baywater retreat center in Virginia.
