At cjr, we believe every young person should have the opportunity to thrive. Our mission is to provide the necessary therapeutic treatment, education, and support for young people and their families to promote positive change and transform lives.

Programs

2 programs

Community & wellness programs: boys and girls benefit from the organization's wellness centers and community-based programs in the danbury, torrington, new britain, meriden, waterbury, litchfield, and new london areas. These programs are accredited by council on accrededation (coa) and emphasize prevention, early intervention, family involvement, evidence based therapeutic models, gender-specific services, and referrals to neighborhood resources to help, educate and support youth and their families create positive and transformative change in their lives and communities.

Expenses: $6.7M

Education programs: licensed by the state of connecticut department of education and accredited by the new england association of schools and colleges (neasc), the cjr school offers a structured framework of academic and vocational educaiton opportunities. Students learn that education is a valuable tool in overcoming life's difficulties and in achieving success and fulfillment in their lives. The school serves cjr's residential students and youth from communities who attend on a daily basis for their educational needs.
