Mission
To design, develop, plan and carry out educational programs, primarily for hawaii school children and especially for those of native hawaiian descent.
Programs
3 programs
The mahope o ke kula ke a'o mau ana (a continuation of learning after school) program inspires native hawaiian students and their facilitators to achieve academic success in math and science through the experience of hawaiian cultural values and practices with hands-on learning throughout the school year, intersession, and summer breaks.
The mala kupono project will implement school/community gardens that will provide k-12 students with fresh food and a learning platform for stem, agriculture/sustainability, culture, and healthy eating. This project aims to increase students' academic success and meet their immediate basic health needs, while also re-energizing interest in agriculture/sustainability and its important role in the lives of the hawaiian community.
