Cic provides information on competitive bidding opportunities. Cic researches and compiles information on bidding opportunities (private, public, governmental) and disseminates it back out to the membership through a weekly publication. The weekly bulletin is also used to notify the industry of classes, seminars, training, etc. The sd department of revenue utilizes the cic weekly bulletin to monitor out-of-state firms receiving construction contracts within the state so they are being made to comply with the same regulations as in-state contractors. The oglala sioux tribe tero office makes use of the publication to monitor construction projects on the reservation for proper employment practices.

Recognizing the need for a continued strong workforce in the construction industry, cic commits up to $6,000/year in scholarship monies to assist and encourage young people in our communities who have chosen to study a field in the construction industry. Additionally, cic works cooperatively with other organizations to provide educational opportunities in the construction industry.
