Mission
Most accredited academic programs in any discipline have an Industry Advisory Board (IAB). The role of Construction Program Industry Advisory Board, Indianapolis Corporation is to advise, assist, and support & advocate for the construction management program, School of Engineering at Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis. Advise--Reviewing program goals and objectives, incorporating industry standards into the course material, suggesting materials and equipment for laboratories, etc. Assist--Judging competitive skills events, setting up a scholarship program, guest lecturers, mentor, project site visits. Support & Advocate--Meet with president, provost, dean, etc., speaking for career and technical education at professional and community meetings, arranging for publicity in the media. IAB members are volunteers who work cooperatively with the academic program and administration in an effort to share their expert knowledge of career-related tasks and professional competency
