Cooke institute (ci) furthers cooke's mission principle by sharing its collective knowledge and commitment to improve the educational experience for all students, especially those with unique learning needs. Through high-quality teacher training and professional development in literacy, special education, inclusion, and math, ci works with educators and staff in a wide range of schools and organizations including pre-k for all programs in community based organizations, charter schools, independent schools, and parochial schools so that all students have appropriate and equitable access to learning and improve outcomes. Ci provides an average of 700 days of teacher and leadership coaching per year, serves some 170 classrooms through some 40 coaching engagements across pre-k through 12th grade classrooms, impacting an estimated 6,000 students directly and indirectly, as well as almost 40 professional development sessions to professionals across nys.
