Csca creates opportunities for the people of corvallis and the people of the cities in other nations to develop friendship, awareness and understanding.

Programs

The touch project (take one ukranian child's hand) is a sponorship program with the csca-uzhhorod council for ukrainian children. The touch project has grown to five sponsorhip programs for over 400 children. It is a friendship program, not an adoption agency. Nearly 300 delegates have traveled from the us to ukraine at their own expense since 2001 as part of the annual touch delegation. Delegates take the children shopping for school clothes, on outdoor excursions, and to movies, museums, parks, and cultural events. Sponsorship funds include educational support, facilities repair, food, clothing, and health care. A major project in 2021 was the repair of fire damage at the roma school in uzhhorod.

The award-winning csca-gondar council (csca-g) collaborates with the people of gondar to improve quality of education and access to clean water, and connects our community to gondar, ethiopia, teacher and librarian training, donation of needed educational materials and books, donkey library support, computers and infrastructure improvements are part of the program constructed 21 wells and spring developments in rural gondar providing water to many families, schools, and communities. Csca-g has a partnership with bridge of hope childrens' village and supports their needs and efforts. Csca-g sister school program connects students in corvallis with students in gondar through exchange activities. Several delegations have traveled to gondar over the years at their own expense to volunteer, visit projects, and foster friendship.
