Mission

To make U.S. cotton the preferred fiber for mills/manufacturers, brands/retailers and consumers, commanding a value-added premium that delivers profitability across the U.S. cotton industry and drives export growth of fiber, yarn and other cotton products.

Programs

Foreign Market Development (FMD):CCI uses Foreign Market Development (FMD) Program funding to create, expandand maintainlong-term export markets for U.S. cotton. FMD-funded projects generally address long-term opportunities to reduce foreign import constraints or expand export growth opportunities.

Agricultural Trade Promotion Program (ATP):CCI uses Agricultural Trade Promotion Program (ATP) funding for overseas marketing and promotional activities that help build commercial export markets for U.S. cotton and cotton products. Activities include consumer advertising, public relations, point-of-sale demonstrations, participation in trade fairs and exhibits, and others.

Emerging Market Program (EMP):CCI conducts targeted technical assistance to promote the export of U.S. cotton via presentations that feature the technical, economic, performance and marketing advantages of U.S. cotton and to address import commercial issues fueling the world cotton textile trade.

Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP): CCI uses Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP) - Tranche I & II funding to diversify and expand market opportunities for U.S. food and agricultural products beyond the traditional top customers. Focus is on enhancing U.S. exports to new markets in parts of the world including South and Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, and others where the middle class is growing and the desire for high-quality food and farm products is increasing.
