The council of irish associations of greater bergen county, inc. Was incorporated in the state of new jersey. The council was established for recognizing, showcasing, and advancing the irish and irish american culture in its many facets in bergen county and in northern new jersey. The council aims to foster and promote the traditions of ireland and irish americans in language, history, music, dance, theater, prose, poetry, sports, the arts and industry. The council coordinates the activities of both the member organizations and the council so as to afford the greatest benefits to the irish and irish merican community in greater bergen county.
