Musselfest is a 3 day event held during the off season, first weekend of march. A food event that draws over 5,000 to coupeville (population 1,800). Visitors eat, sleep, and shop at the local shops. This creates an economic boost to local merchants.
PRACTICAL MAGIC: Each fall, the waterfront village of Coupeville on Whidbey Island celebrates the anniversary of the release of Practical Magic. This seasonal classic chose Coupeville as the films setting for its historic, seaport charm that attracts visitors from around the world.
