Serves adult artists with developmental, mental, and physical disabilities, providing a professional studio environment for artistic development, gallery exhibition and representation, and a social atmosphere among peers.

CREATIVE GROWTHS GALLERYThe Creative Growth Gallery exhibits and promotes Creative Growth artists by placing their work in major collections and institutions worldwide. As a non-profit gallery, all artwork sales directly support the artists and Creative Growth, which uses the proceeds to purchase materials and keep the program running.The Gallery Hosted five major exhibitions, including The Home Show (curated by Noz Nozawa) and John Martin: Self-Portrait. The Gallery team also represents Creative Growths 140+ artists at national and international art fairs annually. In 2023/2024 artists were represented at Felix (Los Angeles), Material Fair (Mexico City), Outsider (New York), Fog Art Fair (San Francisco), NADA (Miami), Independent Art Fair (New York). Artwork made at Creative Growth has also been acquired by prominent collections worldwide, including MoMA, SFMOMA, the Smithsonian, the Studio Museum of Harlem.The Gallery also provides professional development for artists, including curating exhibits in the gallery and in the community. One highlight is the Blue Sky exhibit curated by Creative Growths Black Artist group at East Bay Municipal Utilities District Gallery. The groundbreaking exhibition featured art by over 20 Black Creative Growth artists with disabilities, exploring themes of resilience, identity, and freedom.

CREATIVE GROWTH'S 5TH ANNUAL CREATING COMMUNITY SYMPOSIUMIn May of 2024, we celebrated 50 years of art and advocacy with the 5th Annual Creating Community Symposium, a four-day event in Oakland and San Francisco that brought together artists, advocates, and changemakers.Held in our hometown of Oakland and at SFMOMA, the symposium offered inspiring, educational, and connective experiences that explored the past, present, and future of art and inclusion. Attendees engaged in dynamic conversations, celebrated the achievements of artists with disabilities, and contributed to shaping a more inclusive art world.The symposium honored CGs legacy of empowerment while driving dialogue around creativity and accessibility, underscoring our mission to create a future where art knows no limits.
