ArtsEd & Expressions: The Company We Keep is a 4-day summer choreographic camp for middle school students inspired by the legacy of Black and Latinx-founded dance companies. Youth explored dance history learned repertory and created original choreography rooted in cultural pride and artistic excellence. The camp culminated in a student-led performance. Funded by Arts Activate and Danse Mirage Foundation the program was hosted at a Dallas ISD campus and led by professional teaching artists.

D.A.N.C.E For You is a community-centered dance wellness initiative designed to support adult women through accessible culturally relevant movement practices. Hosted at recreation centers across Dallas the program emphasized emotional expression self-care and physical health through free weekly classes. Over 80 participants engaged in dance as a tool for healing confidence-building and community connection.

Organizational Capacity & Program Infrastructure: In FY20242025 The Creative Movement Inc. invested in core activities essential to delivering high-quality arts education including curriculum development teaching artist onboarding evaluation tools project planning and administrative coordination. These efforts supported all programs offered including ArtsEd & Expressions WestAfroBEFit and D.A.N.C.E For You. Capacity-building work was made possible in part by the Mid-America Arts Alliance Cultural Sustainability Grant and included both personnel and operational resources.
