CCFN opened the shared use Takoma Park Silver Spring Community Kitchen to provide an affordable means of production, since most small-scale food business entrepreneurs lack the capital to invest in their own manufacturing facility.
CCFNs Microenterprise Development Program offers free, bilingual business support to local food entrepreneurs. It features one-on-one technical assistance and monthly virtual workshops on such topics as licensing, recipe development, food costing and pricing, packaging, and marketing.
CCFNs Healthy Eating Program brings culturally appropriate, farm-to-fork programming to students and parents at several Takoma park elementary schools with diverse populations and high Free and Reduced Meals (FARMS) participation, as well as shoppers at Crossroads Farmers Market and other community sites.
