Our work in the loreto region of peru has flourished. Teams of doctors and educators have regularly visited and ministered to group needs. Local pastors have been trained to travel from village to village with messages of hope. The construction of village appropriate housing has restarted along with training provided to locals that enable them to expand their productivity. Donations have come from churches in california, connecticut, florida, and massachusetts for the purpose of water wells and church building. Central america has regained solid foundations under the direction of pastor joes alverez. We work in concert with other local agencies to bring training and encouragement to hundreds in churches, villages and prisons.
The kitchen of love outreach in guatemala is devoted to bringing the gospel of jesus christ to the people in the city of guatemala and the region of esquipulas. Food was provided for 250 pastors in guatemala, 200 families in guatemala city and 685 families in the mountains of esquipulas. The outreach provides scholarship programs for children to attend school and have school supplies. The medical and dental clinics continues to operate, and kol continued to assist with medical care for over 80 people and dental care for over 40 people a month. In 2024, we were able to hold our annual medical crusade and provide medical services to over 1331 people. We also had our annual dental crusade and were able to provide dental services to 550 people and did over 950 dental procedures or treatments. There are sponsored teams of doctors and dentists from the usa, el salvador and guatemala who help provide services and care to the poor in guatamala city and esquipulas. Kol continued to work closely with the prison system (2,400 inmates) in fraijanes to provide food, programs, teaching and encouragement. The kitchen of love outreach is instrumental in continuing its humanitarian work amoung the people of guatalamala suffering from poverty and the ongoing covid crisis. Over 3000 toys were distributed among the neediest kids and over 2000 special bags of food were given to hurting families, and we served over 6500 meals during our christmas festival.
