Another major project crossroads has undertaken through revnj is to address the requirement in the state legislation creating the public-private partnership and defining its duties, which mandated the "establishment of a state american revolution visitor center". Following extensive site feasibility studies, consultants have identified and vetted an existing historic building in downtown trenton, the geographic center of the state, as the best location for nj's revolutionary war experience center

The primary technical assistance project in 2023 was for the proprietary house association, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization which leases from the state of nj and operates as a museum - the original royal governor's mansion in perth amboy. Dba revj, crossroads' staff, and board members provided professional staff and funding assistance out of its fy 2023 stipend for the revolutionj initiative from the nj historic commission. The nonprofit matched revnj funds. The project, administered by crossroads dba revnj, was to competitively select and contract with a team of historic architecture, mechanical and engineering, and interpretive consultants to prepare a preservation plan and feasibility study for the site, to help the organization and its owner improve visitor readiness for the 250th anniversary of the nation in 2026. The draft plan was presented by the consultants to key nha/revnj staff, nj state parks/historic sites staff, and the nonprofit's board members on july 26, 2023 for consideration. In addition, staff coordinated the second and third phases of the camden county historical society interpretive signage project, begin in 2022. The remaining 26 (out of a total of 39) interpretive wayside panels for revolutionary war historic sites were manufactured and installed.
