Mission
It is the mission of the CHHF to preserve and celebrate the architectural, cultural and natural heritage of the city's oldest urban green space, Crown Hill Cemetery.

The Crown Hill Arboretum is accredited by ArbNet as a Level II arboretum. It is comprised of Crown Hill's 11,000 trees representing 136 different species. As the only accredited arboretum in central Indiana, we work diligently to protect and enhance the natural beauty of our downtown canopy, while respecting the historic cultural landscape. We also nurture our native pollinators through habitat development and care.
CHHF hosts many tours, fieldtrips, student and community groups. Celebrating Crown Hill, which speaks to the heritage and history of our city, state and country, is core to our mission. Through our education department, we offer unique opportunities, free of charge, for students and community groups to discover, explore and experience all Crown Hill has to offer.
