Mission
Our purpose is to promote Christian values through teaching prayer and service. Our primary expression is a volunteer center in Nogales Mexico.
Programs
3 programs
These are the expenses we incur to house transport and feed the Volunteers who come to stay at our center in Nogales Mexico. Most visitors stay with us for 5 days.
The largest portion of this category covers the construction projects our volunteer teams do when they come for the week. Rock and cement retaining walls were the predominant project this year. We also host childrens carnivals and youth soccer tournaments in the park. Our Christmas shoe box program and smaller events such as mothers day or Thanksgiving baskets round out the volunteer projects.
We have four Mexican leaders who help us run this ministry. When volunteer teams are present they set up our work projects and community activities. After the volunteer teams leave they continue the soup kitchens and other community events such as the Christmas shoebox program. There are two US staff members who work with the US volunteers and donors to support the ministries in Mexico. An additional component of this ministry has to do with the promotion of Christian values. Both staff members are in engaged with US partner organizations churches and schools and US individuals through teaching hosting events and conversations promoting increased involvement in the Christian faith. For this reason half of the salaries are included in program expenses and half in management and administration
