Advocacy/development: the council's goal is to strengthen the arts and cultural sector to improve the quality of life in the region through collaboration and activism, and regranting funds to various cultural organizations and individual artists. The cultural council of greater jacksonville champions the appreciation, relevance, and expression of art and culture. It serves to make more art, more available to more people; providing creative solutions for social challenges and driving economic development for the city of jacksonville.
Art in public places: oversees the selection, installation, maintenance, and conservation of the artworks for both public and private projects. Through its collection and related programming, app raises public awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of the arts through direct experience.
