Mission
We educate communities through on-going awareness events, hosting local events at businesses & community centers and local churches about humanitarian social initiatives. We mobilize communities through three outlets - Laundry Project, Hope for Homes & Affordable Christmas.
Programs
2 programs
The Laundry Project assists low-income families with meeting a basic need - washing clothes and linens. In 2024, through the Laundry Project, Current helped 3,165+ families at 90 different projected across the United States with free laundry services. More than 150 volunteers worked with lower-income families at laundromats to wash an estimated 33,008 loads of laundry.
The Hope For Homes Project provides remodeling and improvement work on homes owned by lower-income and middle class families. In 2024, Current took a break from this initiatve due to supply chain inflation. Current will begin plans and mobilization on the next Hope For Homes project to be potentially completed for a family in 2025.
