Range: cybertrust licensed a leading cyber range platform for use by our college members, providing access to a platform they otherwise could not afford. The range provides students with a simulated environment for hands on experiences nearly as realistic as training on a real it environment, with real cyber attacks, but without the danger of unleashing malware on a real environment. Providing cyber range access to area colleges is one of the main ways cybertrust advances education in cybersecurity. During this period, the cyberrange served over 600 students across ten member colleges.
Eco-system: the organization operates with a mission to grow and diversify the cybersecurity workforce, while providing essential cybersecurity services to underserved entities, including municipalities, nonprofits and small businesses. It does this through the convening of a consortium of companies and colleges, providing cyber range technology to colleges, and operating student-staffed security operations centers to serve local entities.
